Protect the people! Not the system!
The Party of the European Left (EL), together with the Communist Party of Austria (KPÖ) is organizing a weekend of debate and exchange in Vienna. The main focus of the events will be left local politics and international exchange of experiences under the conditions of the Corona crisis.
In this context, following questions will be discussed in particular:
– Affordable housing
– Public transport and urban planning
– Communal right to vote
There will be a seminar on Friday, September 4th (Transform!europe – Gusshausstraße 14/3, 1040 Vienna) as well as a public outdoor event with international guests from various European cities on September 5th from 2 to 4 p.m. (“Jesuitenwiese”) in the Viennese park “Prater”.
Among the guests will be e.g. Antoine Spilet (PCF; France), Regina Ertl (Die Linke; Germany) and Kerem Schamberger (Marxistische Linke; Germany).
<p align="justify" Left local politics will be debated with the audience, while EL guests will talk about their experiences, successes and difficulties. Apart from information stands of EL, KPÖ and the electoral alliance LINKS, there will also take place a concert of local artists.
The organizing team is looking forward to bring together international and local experiences!
Especially under the difficult circumstances of the global pandemy the cooperation of various left forces is absolutely indispensable!
