El Partido de la Izquierda Europea condena el nuevo aplazamiento de las elecciones generales en Bolivia
El Tribunal Electoral de Bolivia ha anunciado hoy que las elecciones generales, previstas para el 6 de septiembre, se retrasarìan al 18 de octubre.
Esta decisión unilateral del gobierno golpista no ha sido acordada con la principal fuerza politica boliviana y vulnera las leyes electorales del país.
El ilegal cambio de fecha electoral obedecería a un intento de acabar con la candidatura del Movimiento al Socialismo (MAS-IPSP) dell’ex Presidente Evo Morales, movimiento que lidera todas las encuestas electorales y, al mismo tiempo, tomar tiempo para recomponer las divisiones de la derecha.
Además, la persecución política del Gobierno de facto contra los líderes del MAS-IPSP no cesa y la intención de la Presidenta golpista sería la de anular la candidatura de Luis Arce que encabeza las encuestas.
Por todo ello, el Partido de la Izquierda Europea condena esta decisión ilegal y la persecución política de los líderes del MAS.
El PIE suma su voz a la denuncia internacional de estos hechos, y exige que se cumplan las garantías democráticas en Bolivia.

The Electoral Tribunal of Bolivia announced today that the general elections, scheduled for September 6, would be postponed to October 18.
This unilateral decision of the golpista government has not been agreed with the main political force in Bolivia and violates the electoral laws of the country.
The illegal change of election date would be due to an attempt to end the candidacy of the Movement to Socialism (MAS-IPSP) of former President Evo Morales, a movement that leads all the electoral polls and, at the same time, take time to recompose the divisions of the right.
Furthermore, the political persecution of the de facto government against the MAS-IPSP leaders does not cease and the intention of the coup president would be to annul the candidacy of Luis Arce who leads the polls.
For all these reasons, the Party of the European Left condemns this illegal decision and the political persecution of the MAS leaders.
