Con una vergonzosa decisión, la Unión Europea ha decidido prorrogar las medidas coercitivas unilaterales (sanciones) contra Venezuela bolivariana por 1 año. Esto ocurre justo unos días antes de las elecciones del próximo 6 de diciembre, cuando el pueblo venezolano elegirá 277 diputados entre alrededor de 107 listas para formar el nuevo parlamento. Con esta injerencia criminal, la UE se alinea con la política exterior de la administración Trump, que acaba de ser derrotada en las urnas.
Tras reconocer al payaso Guaidò, auto-proclamado “presidente encargado”, con estas medidas criminales la UE sigue violando el derecho internacional, el principio de no injerencia en los asuntos internos y el respeto a la autodeterminación, arremetiendo contra el gobierno constitucional de Nicolás Maduro.
El gobierno venezolano ha denunciado reiteradamente que estas medidas atentan contra la vida del pueblo venezolano y según los investigadores estadounidenses Mark Weisbrot y Jeffrey Sachs, solo en el período 2017-2018 las “sanciones” habrían provocado la muerte de unas 40.000 (cuarenta mil) personas. A este gravísimo hecho, se suman las graves dificultades que atraviesa el país por las sanciones de Estados Unidos y la Unión Europea, como la interrupción de los flujos de agua potable y electricidad, y la dificultad en la importación de alimentos y medicinas.
Estados Unidos y la Unión Europea son aliados en una guerra no declarada y son directamente responsables de las muertes de los últimos años. Con esta moneda de políticas criminales, los mayordomos europeos devuelven la bienvenida que ha dado Venezuela a los numerosos migrantes europeos. Y al mismo tiempo, la UE se dispara en el pie, excluyendo la posibilidad de inversiones e intercambios comerciales favorables a ambos.
Los gobiernos de los Estados miembros deben distanciarse de estas políticas suicidas, no apoyar una política fallida de la administración belicista de Washington y reconocer la legitimidad de las próximas elecciones parlamentarias.
VENEZUELA: ENOUGH OF EU CRIMINAL SANCTIONS
With a shameful decision, the European Union has decided to extend the unilateral coercive measures (sanctions) against Bolivarian Venezuela for 1 year. This occurs just a few days before the elections on December 6, when the Venezuelan people will elect 277 deputies from around 107 lists to form the new parliament. With this criminal interference, the EU is aligning itself with the foreign policy of the Trump administration, which has just been defeated at the polls.
After recognizing the clown Guaidò, self-proclaimed “president in charge”, with these criminal measures the EU continues to violate international law, the principle of non-interference in internal affairs and respect for self-determination, attacking the constitutional government of Nicolàs Maduro.
The Venezuelan government has repeatedly denounced that these measures threaten the life of the Venezuelan people and according to US researchers Mark Weisbrot and Jeffrey Sachs, only in the period 2017-2018 the “sanctions” would have caused the death of some 40,000 (forty thousand) people. Added to this very serious fact are the serious difficulties that the country is going through due to sanctions from the United States and the European Union, such as the interruption of drinking water and electricity flows, and the difficulty in importing food and medicine.
The United States and the European Union are allies in an undeclared war and are directly responsible for the deaths of recent years. With this currency of criminal policies, the European butlers return the welcome that Venezuela has given to the many European migrants. And at the same time, the EU shoots itself in the foot, excluding the possibility of investment and trade favorable to both.
The governments of the member states must distance themselves from these suicidal policies, not support a failed policy of the warmongering administration in Washington, and recognize the legitimacy of the upcoming parliamentary elections.
